How Cohort 1 celebrated Eid ul-Fitri in Wellington

All praise is to Allah. Alhamdulillah. Though most of us celebrated Ramadhan abroad for the first time, it was not that bad, right? I would say, it's quite fun. Plus with the big ifthar and everything. Well then, back to the main story. Eid ul-fitr was celebrated on 10th of August 2011. It was quite a surprise as NZ started the day of fasting a day later than countries like Malaysia, Australia and so on. Nevertheless, we were all excited upon hearing the news, and let us hope that this Ramadhan was better than before and that Allah will accept our good deeds and grant us His forgiveness and mercy. Ameen.

The Eid prayer was held in 3 different locations, at Malaysian Student Department, Kilbirnie Mosque and VUW's prayer room. Most of cohort 1 prayed at MSD, and ouh, with lovely raya meals afterwards, haha.

We attended lots of open houses on the first few days of raya. Lots of rendang, nasi impit, soto, kuih cornflakes, almond london etc. Now, who said that we didn't have rendang in NZ?  :)

Not to forget, Salamanca's House was organising an open house as well, unfortunately there was no picture taken, or should I say, uploaded on facebook? Nevertheless, the eid celebration was fun. It brought cohort 1 even more closer to each other. And we thank God for that. Indahnya ukhwah kita, moga sampai ke syurga. And looking forward for cohort 1's open house alltogether tomorrow. See you guys there!
